Which size do I order?

MEASUREMENT GUIDE

Take a look at our sizing guide below.  Sizing will differ between ridden and driven horses/ponies due to how the breastplate attaches to the tack.

The clip straps on ridden animals will attach to the D rings on the saddle whilst for the harness horse, they are secured to the wither strap rings.

We highly recommend using the image measurements (below) to judge the correct size as every horse and pony differ however as a rough guide, the breastplates sizes will fit -

Ridden

  • 11.2hh and less SMALL

  • 11.3hh - 12.2hh  MEDIUM

  • 13hh - 13.2hh LARGE

  • 13.3hh - 17hh XXL

The XXL may seem large but it is very adjustable.

Driven

  • Up to 11.2hh SMALL

  • 11.3hh - 13hh MEDIUM

  • 13hh - 14.2hh LARGE

  • 14.2hh and more XXL

RIDDEN MEASUREMENTS

When it comes to finding out which size is best for your ridden horse, measurements should be taken from points shown in the diagram above (clip straps) and also from the girth, up between the forelegs to the centre of the chest.  Always be generous as there needs to be enough slack to allow free movement of your horse.

DRIVEN MEASUREMENTS

For carriage driving horses, the measurement needs to be taken in between the points shown on the image above.  The clip straps secure to the wither strap rings.  Measuring from the girth in-between the forelegs up to the centre of the chest, will determine the martingale length.  Again, be generous with your measurements as to not restrict your horse's movement.

HOW TO FIT THE TAIL LIGHTS

Securing the tail lights couldn't be easier due to the strip of velcro that wraps around the tail.  We do recommend that the tail lights are secured by plaiting a small piece of hair over the velcro strap and secure underneath.  Please take a second to watch our fitting video so you can be sure that you never lose your tail lights!
